Annie & Matt's Wildlife Refuge Pregnancy Session | Tualatin Maternity Photographer

I was so pumped to meet Annie and Matt to do their pregnancy photos, and explore a new location!  Like many of our clients, Annie & Matt found us searching through the internet, and cross-checking reviews and references.  Luckily, we have some pretty amazing clients who leave us a lot of love on our Facebook page.  We had initially planned on meeting at my favorite spot at Cook Park, but luckily we realized the Festival of Balloons was that weekend, and moved the maternity shoot.  And I'm so glad we did, because the Tualatin River Wildlife Refuge is so incredible!

I had been there before for a hike (really, a long walk because it's pretty flat, and to qualify as a hike, for me, there have to be hills!) so we stayed on the trails, and stopped at all of the pretty spots where I went all ooey gooey over the beautiful summer evening light.  Of course, we didn't get TOO far in to the refuge since super long walks and being super pregnant don't really go hand in hand.  But Annie and Matt were up for anything, and were so much fun to photograph and chat with!

I love meeting new clients, but especially ones who live in my area of the Portland suburbs, and I found out they actually both grew up and went to high school right in my current neighborhood!  They are another adorable couple who met in high-school and have been together every since.  People always think it's impossible for young couples to stay together, and that high school relationships never last.  But It really is amazing how people so young can grow together as they grow up, and follow similar paths.  And really, all it takes is commitment, from both people, over a long period of time and growth.

Cheers to Annie and Matt and their first baby together!  I can't wait to meet the new addition in a few months!
