This was one of the most beautiful newborn shoots I have ever done. Amanda and Bikas are the most gracious people. And so calm and patient as we worked with Maya to get the photos we wanted. It was such a pleasure to work with them, and to watch them as new parents. Honestly, it was pretty much a photographers dream. 

Maya was almost two weeks old when we took these - just transitioning out of that super sleepy newborn phase. But. She had had a really hungry night the night before the shoot - which meant that she slept through literally the entire shoot. She woke up a few times as we changed her outfit or put her in a new swaddle, but quickly passed back out. 

The light in their home was also dreamy. There were so many well lit areas we were able to get everything using only natural light. I hope you enjoy looking at all of the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Plus, if you want, you can see their maternity shoot from a few weeks earlier here.
